Brass isn’t just a choice —it’s a thoughtful decision that enhances both the beauty and durability of my gold-plated jewelry. Let me share why this metal is the perfect foundation for my designs.
Since January 2024, gold prices have risen by approximately 41%, and silver is up around 47%. 📈
This dramatically impacts not only solid gold and silver jewelry but also plated precious metal jewelry, as each micron of gold used for plating my pieces has become more expensive.
Given these market changes, I want to share some insights into my jewelry: I offer pieces crafted from silver and 24K gold-plated brass. My choice of brass for gold plating is intentional and based on these key reasons:
💛 Durability & Aesthetics – Brass is harder than silver, making it a stronger base for gold plating. Plus, its natural golden hue ensures that if the plating fades over time, the metal underneath blends beautifully rather than revealing a stark contrast.
💰 Cost-Effectiveness – With silver prices soaring, using brass allows me to create high-quality, gold-plated jewelry at more accessible prices—so you can enjoy elegant designs without the premium cost of gold-plated silver.
✨ High-Quality Gold Plating – My 24K gold-plated pieces have a thickness of 3 to 5 microns. In the jewelry industry, plating at this level is considered "heavy gold-plated" or "vermeil", ensuring exceptional durability compared to standard gold-plated jewelry, which often has only 0.5 to 1 micron of gold.
🔄 Re-plating Service – Because I want you to enjoy your pieces for years to come, I also offer a re-plating service if the gold finish ever fades from being worn and loved so much!
