“With a spark of love set in and the engagement clear ahead, the choice was obvious, Izaskun would be the one to help me craft this intention into the ring. My partner has known Izaskun for quite some time, in the art world, buying pieces, discussing astrology. After hearing about her, I would soon meet Izaskun as well and start the conversation around a ring. 

I would follow up on this discussion with pictures of waves crashing off of Fire Island and her green eyes for the pallet. One morning I received a picture of the stone from which the ring would be designed around: a rare cut tourmaline of a hundred shades of green..
